Preserving Islamic Poetry for Future Generations
Nohay Lyrics was born from a deep passion for Islamic poetry and a recognition of the need for a centralized, authentic platform where Muslims worldwide could access the beautiful words that commemorate the tragedy of Karbala and celebrate the virtues of Ahlul Bayt (AS).
In the digital age, while countless Nohay and Marsiya recordings are available online, finding accurate, verified lyrics remained a challenge. Many websites contained incomplete or incorrect transcriptions, making it difficult for reciters, scholars, and devotees to access reliable text.
We set out to change this by creating the world's most comprehensive database of Islamic poetry lyrics – a platform where every word is carefully verified, every translation is accurate, and every user can trust the authenticity of what they read.
What started as a small collection has grown into a vast repository of over 5,000 Nohay, Marsiya, Manqabat, and Salaam lyrics from more than 200 renowned recitors across multiple languages and regions.
To preserve, digitize, and make accessible the rich tradition of Islamic mourning poetry, ensuring that future generations can connect with the powerful messages of sacrifice, faith, and devotion embodied in Nohay and Marsiya.
To become the world's most trusted and comprehensive source for Islamic poetry, serving millions of Muslims globally and fostering a deeper understanding of the lessons of Karbala through authentic, accessible content.
